Below is the brief recopied April 17, 1945 article from the Bergen Evening Record that was listed under ‘Casualties’ which states Corporal Warren D. Libert being killed in action. 

Let us never forget the soldiers sacrifice. 

The article mentions that Warren D. Libert left
Hackensack High School because his family moved to Kentucky.

He is still listed on the Original Wall Unit at Hackensack High School as well as the 1946 Yearbook Dedication Page.

LIBERT KILLED

"Corporal Warren D. Libert was killed in action in Germany on Good Friday, March 20. He had been fighting with the 76th Infantry Division of the Third Army.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Libert of Louisville, Kentucky. Formerly of 12 Colonial Terrace, Hackensack, Warren D. Libert was attending Hackensack High School when his family moved to Kentucky. Corporal Libert was an only child.
